No, there is no way to change or edit your primary Yahoo email address.
But, the good news is that Yahoo allows users to add an email alias. This feature enables you to add another email to your old primary email. You can use the new alias email to send or receive emails from the primary Yahoo email account. This way, you can tell other users that you have changed your old email.
For instance, the primary Yahoo email was johnhz@yahoo.com, now you can create a new alias email tomhz@yahoo.com. When someone will send emails to the new email you can access those emails from the primary email box.

Step 1:
Open the Yahoo email login page: https://login.yahoo.com/. Log in to the account by providing the required credentials.

You will find different email provider companies’ names. Here I will add one of my Gmail accounts as an alias email to the Yahoo email.

Select your email provider and add your email. Here I am adding my Gmail: “mikelanger1993@gmail.com”
Step 8:
After clicking next, a new pop-up window will open and you will find this message “Make sure you trust Yahoo”. Click on the allow button.
Step 9:
The new email will start syncing automatically. In this step, you need to fill up two fields. Your name will be shown to the users when sending emails. Another field is for the mailbox name. Click on the done button.
Step 10:
Now you have successfully added a new email to your primary Yahoo email box. In the left sidebar, you can find the new email inbox below the primary Yahoo email inbox.
